The kitchen at HillHouse prepares a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner each day, served in our bright-atrium like dining room overlooking Whiskeag Pond. Residents can enjoy their home-cooked meals in our sunny dining room, in their own rooms, or on the outside deck in warm weather. Although residents may take their meals in their rooms, we encourage the social interaction that gathering in the dining room at mealtime provides. Our nutrition staff works to accommodate individual residents’ dietary needs and uses fresh ingredients to create varied and appealing home-style meals.
A sample daily menu:
Fruit, choice of eggs, bacon, daily homemade muffins, pancakes, French toast, choice of omelets
Baked stuffed haddock or pork chops, oven roasted parmesan potatoes, creamy onion pie or cucumber salad, raspberry bar or ice cream sundaes
Turkey thyme sandwich, hearty potato soup, colorful corn or baby spinach salad, mixed berry crisp
Fresh fruit cup, homemade cookies, cheese and crackers, fresh fruit pizza, veggie dip and pita slices, homemade peanut butter and crackers
